Curry Senior Center (formerly North of Market Senior Services) is a multi-purpose center that provides a wide spectrum of programs and services to senior residents of in the San Francisco Tenderloin.
Curry Senior Center was established in 1972 as North of Market Senior Services. Since then, we have been providing medical and social support to low-income and frail elderly residents.
Curry Senior Center is a joint project of the Department of Public Health and the private non-profit North of Market Senior Services. Curry Senior Services' current funding sources include the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Divisions of Mental Health and Substance Abuse; San Francisco Commission on Aging; San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium; Clare and Gordon Johnson Trust; Horizons Foundation Lawrence R. Lucas Endowment; Soroptimist International of San Francisco; California Department of Health Services; California Endowment; Mayor's Office of Community Development and Mayor's Office of Housing, and individual donors.
Hours: Monday through Friday: 9:00am to 12:00pm, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Call or drop-in to make a first appointment.
Substance Abuse Services: (55 and older) Call for drop-in hours or to refer: 885-2274.
Fees: Medical clinic accepts Medi-Cal, Medi-Care, Healthy San Francisco, Dept. of Public Health Sliding Scale fees.
Meal site encourages donation. All other services free.
Medicare, Medi-Cal, S.F. Health Plan, Healthy San Francisco and other insurance plans accepted.
No one will be denied services based on an inability to pay.
Curry Senior Center Medical Clinic operates under a sliding fee scale payment model. What this means to you is that Curry Senior Center Medical Clinic provides their services even to patients who cannot afford care (such as low-income or who people who need to self-pay). Patients will pay according to their income. Be prepared to provide information on your household income.
