NAMI Sarasota and Manatee Counties is pleased to offer Drop-In programs at YANA Sarasota both in North County and South County locations.
YANA stands for "You Are Not Alone" which reflects the values of NAMI Sarasota and Manatee Counties, welcoming adults 18+ experiencing mental health challenges to a safe, supportive, non-stigmatizing environment of belonging. At YANA Sarasota, individuals are accepted and respected, and can make friends, develop life-affirming skills and work towards recovery and wellness. Members have a voice and choice in program activities and are encouraged to contribute to the vision of YANA Sarasota, as well as become active participants in their own wellness plan through the support of peers.
YANA Sarasota is peer-led, where members and peer-staff work side-by-side in a collaborative effort to design program activities to support participants on their individualized paths to mental wellness and recovery. Individuals can come in any time during open hours and all programs are free to participants.
NAMI Sarasota and Manatee Counties, Inc. improves the lives of individuals, families and caregivers on their journey to mental wellness.
Obamacare purchased from the Health Care Marketplaces covers Mental Health Care and Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Under the Health Care Law there are 10 categories of benefits. Mental Health Care and Substance Abuse Treatment are two of the 10.
