The Magis Clinic is a student-run, free clinic, open to all people.
Inspired by Jesuit values, we are dedicated to providing quality and compassionate healthcare to the underserved in the Greater Omaha community.
As part of Creighton University, we also work towards forming and educating students to be agents of change.
Magis Clinic is dedicated to:
Providing the standard of care to men and women of all ages and backgrounds
Cooperating with other healthcare providers to maintain continuity of care
Instilling in patients a sense of value for one's own health
Fostering in students a lifelong commitment to service
The Magis Clinic and its partners provide free healthcare and referrals to existing community services. It is the first free medical clinic in Omaha open on Saturdays that treats homeless men, women, children and the medically uninsured. Services include basic acute primary care consultations and follow-up, physical exams, mental health care, STD testing, laboratory services, including basic blood tests; pharmaceuticals. Magis Clinic volunteers also partner with the Charles Drew Health Center, coordinating their efforts to achieve the mission of the Magis Clinic.
Hours:
Acute Care Clinic: Saturdays 1:30-5:30 pm
Psychiatry Clinic: Every other Saturdays 5:30-7:30 pm
Sexual Health Clinic 10am-1pm
Magis Clinic- Creighton University Medical Deans Office is associated with a university that provides training for graduate students in mental health. In most cases, people can receive mental health care free of charge. Call to find out.
Obamacare purchased from the Health Care Marketplaces covers Mental Health Care and Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Under the Health Care Law there are 10 categories of benefits. Mental Health Care and Substance Abuse Treatment are two of the 10.
If you have Affordable Care Act Coverage you will have mental health care coverage.
