Primary Health Network accepts all patients regardless of their insurance or financial situation. They are a government funded health care provider which in turn allows them to offer a wide range of services for patients using a sliding fee scale. They offer the sliding fee scale to all income eligible uninsured or under-insured patients on the basis of annual family income for most their services. Income guidelines and verification acceptable to the the sliding rate scale are as listed below.
Services offered:
Psychiatric evaluation - A comprehensive evaluation completed by a psychiatrist to determine the diagnosis, prognosis and recommended treatment plan.
Psychotherapy
Counseling session to treat various mental and emotional disorders.
Conducted by a licensed mental health professional.
EAP services
Employee Assistance Program.
Short-term advisory services offered to employees experiencing difficulties.
Medication monitoring
A brief visit with a psychiatrist or other trained medical professional who assesses the effectiveness of the medication and makes additional recommendations.
Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy
Counselling can be received on an individual basis, with a group of people seeking help for the same or similar problems or as a family.
In addition to medication management, treatment is also recommended.

Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Altoona Behavioral Health operates under a sliding fee scale payment model. What this means to you is that Altoona Behavioral Health provides their services even to patients who cannot afford care (such as low-income or who people who need to self-pay). Patients will pay according to their income. Be prepared to provide information on your household income.
