The Johnson City Downtown Day Center (JCDDC) is a safe place for homeless individuals to go during the day to receive essential services.
These services include: medical and mental health clinics, counseling, Substance Abuse and Trauma groups, case management, washer/dryer services, shower services, and a clothes closet. The JCDDCis open to individuals, families, and youth over the age of 18 years old. Case Managers are on site daily to assist all clients with navigating the homeless services process in Johnson City. These services can include obtaining housing, employment, state ID/birth certificate and applying for SSI/SSDI.

Tuesday - Thursday: 8am - 3:30pm
-Mental Health Clinic Schedule (medication management): Walk in or appointments welcome
Tuesday and Thursday: 8am - 3:30pm
-Mental Health Counseling: by a LCSW/LMSW/Psych Doctoral Intern (Walk in or appointments welcome)
Monday - Friday: 8am - 3:30pm
Sliding Fees:
It is the policy of the ETSU College of Nursing Practice Network to provide essential medical services regardless of the patient's ability to pay. Discounts are offered based upon family/household size and annual income.
A sliding fee schedule is used to calculate the basic discount and is updated each year using the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Once approved, the discount will be honored for one year, after which the patient must reapply.
Johnson City Day Center operates under a sliding fee scale payment model. What this means to you is that Johnson City Day Center provides their services even to patients who cannot afford care (such as low-income or who people who need to self-pay). Patients will pay according to their income. Be prepared to provide information on your household income.
