Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania provides services and supports to people in Dauphin County and Luzerne County with mental illness. We provide affordable housing and supportive living programs for people with a severe mental illness.
Sometimes these individuals enter our services in nontraditional ways, maybe through homelessness, substance abuse, or tragically, the corrections system. However a person comes to us, Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania focuses on assisting those with significant and persistent mental illness to live lives of independence in their communities. Our supports include affordable housing options, medication management, assistance with tasks of daily living and other supportive living activities. In keeping with the tradition of our founders and our faith-based values, we believe that all individuals should be treated with respect and dignity and receive the individualized supports they need to live in their community.
